PERPETUAL LESSONS

Universal Swim runs perpetual class programs, meaning lessons continue throughout the year, including school holidays, with a brief break during Christmas and New Year (details will be communicated). Most program updates are sent via email, so please ensure your email address is up to date.

To cancel a class, you must email a cancellation request through the parent portal or at reception, at least two (2) weeks before your last lesson.

Universal Swim offers make-up lessons under the following guidelines:

  • It is the responsibility of the parent/caregiver or swimmer to mark their absence and schedule a make-up lesson via the parent portal.
  •  If you don’t mark your absence, you won’t be able to book a make-up.
  • You can mark your absence up to 8 weeks in advance and schedule up to 12 make-up lessons per year. This allows for
multiple make-ups in the same month.
  • Absences can be marked up to 8 weeks ahead but no later than 30 minutes before the lesson. Once marked, the absence
    cannot be changed.
  • Make-up lessons can be booked within 3 months of the marked absence, up to 7 days ahead of the class time.
  • If you miss or fail to book a make-up lesson, it will be forfeited.
  • Once a make-up lesson is booked, the time cannot be changed.
  • Make-up lessons are non-refundable and non-transferable.
  • Make-up lessons are subject to program availability, and we cannot guarantee availability or the time you prefer.
  • When changing your booking, you can access make-ups for previous bookings, provided the above criteria are met and your
    account is not in arrears.
  • Cancelling your lesson forfeits any make-ups owed. Make-ups are only valid while actively enrolled in the program.
  • Make-up lessons are not available for squad swimmers.
  • Squad swimmers are not eligible for make-up lessons. If you are unable to attend a booked session, it will be considered a missed session. Due to lane allocation and multiple bookings, we do not have the space to accommodate additional swimmers in all sessions

All outstanding fees must be settled before the start of any lesson. Payments are non-refundable and non-transferable. Any outstanding amounts must be cleared prior to attending a lesson.

Photography, including from contacted,, laptops, or any other devices, is not allowed without prior permission from Universal Swim staff. Please note that CCTV operates in our facilities.

Swipe tags are issued to all students and must be presented when requested. If you lose your card, a replacement fee will apply.

All participants must check in at reception before the lesson. Do not enter the lesson area until the lesson starts. Students under 10 must be supervised during lessons, including free-time and before/after activities. Facility terms and conditions apply to all students and their families.

All minors must be contacted, within the center and during all classes/activities. All equipment and facilities are used at your own risk. School-aged children are required to use their designated gender bathroom, or a family change room is available.

Universal Swim has a behavior policy to ensure a positive and safe learning environment. Students will receive one warning for disruptive or unsafe behavior. A second warning will result in sitting out of the pool and missing a turn. Continued disruptive behavior may lead to immediate removal from the class. We strive for a structured environment where all students can progress and enjoy learning.

Students are assessed every 4-6 weeks, though their progress is monitored weekly by teachers. If you’d like to discuss your child’s progress, please speak with a supervisor.

While on Universal Fitness premises, your person and property are at your own risk. Universal is not liable for any loss, damage, or theft of property, or any injury or illness except in cases of gross negligence on our part.

This Agreement is the full and complete understanding between you and Universal Fitness Group. If any part of this Agreement is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will still apply.

Classes will take place unless Universal Swim deems the weather too dangerous. Your safety is our priority, and you’ll be notified in advance if a lesson is cancelled due to weather.

If an instructor is absent, a replacement will be provided. If no replacement is available, you will be contacted, and a credit will be offered for the missed lesson.

We may use images or video footage of students for promotional or educational purposes, including on our website, flyers, social media, or for staff training. If you do not wish to have your child’s image used, please inform us in writing.
